„Soooo, nach langer Abstinenz (Feb. 08) vom Rallyesport und langer Zeit ohne aktuelles Auto sollte nun nochmal angegriffen werden. Also, gutes Auto besorgt, guten EVO Beifahrer besorgt und noch ein kleiner Test, fertig war das DRM Comeback. Leider gingen damit die positiven Ereignisse zu Ende. Bereits im Training verendete unser 1. Lancer nach Keilriemenschaden. Der Fahrer sah die Sache locker – er kennt sich ja aus – und sowieso ist das mit dem Kadett eh kaum langsamer – alles kein Problem. Völlig entspannt nahm man das Training mit einem Sixt BMW 116i wieder auf und siehe da, der Schrieb vom Kadett passt doch – geht schon (dazu später mehr). Shakedown auch super – dann Freitag Abend die erste WP. Soo – mal langsam beginnen – man hat ja schließlich nichts zu verlieren – eher die anderen – los am Start – den Berg runter – (alles super) den Berg wieder hoch (immer noch alles super) und dann eine kleine Kuppe in die Runde und dann fangen wir mal an schnell zu fahren…..
Efu liest „Kuppe voll rechts fahren“ – ich fahr voll (5. Gang) ganz rechts und dann heben wir ab…ab diesem Moment haben die Besatzung und auch die Zuschauer den Mund nicht mehr zugekriegt. Nach einer heftigen Landung ging es praktisch ungebremst seitwärts in den Graben und meiner Meinung war damit die Rallye beendet – doch so ein Lancer, der kann was ab – im Gegensatz zur Besatzung. Unsere Service Crew machte am Abend das Auto wieder topfit und wir gingen guter Dinge schlafen – das böse Erwachen kam dann am Samstag in der Früh. Wir saßen beim Frühstück, als hätten wir 14 Tage am Ballermann durchgehend gesoffen und dabei hat uns noch jemand Beton im Schulterbereich unter die Haut gespritzt. Zusätzlich zum allgemeinen Unwohlsein kam noch eine leicht undeutliche Aussprache meines Beifahrers aufgrund diverser fehlender Schneidezähne – die waren bestimmt vorher schon locker – dazu. Also – wir beschlossen den Samstag mal zu beginnen – aufhören kann man ja immer nocht, wenn es nicht geht. Aber die alten Kämpferherzen haben sich durchgekämpft. Mit diversen Rückschlägen (Reifenschaden vorne links und keiner in der körperlichen Lage zu wechseln) und kleinerer Wetterkapriolen haben wir uns vom 93. Gesamtplatz wacker wieder auf den 29. vorgearbeitet und zum Schluß sogar auch die Schmerzen vergessen. Ich danke allen, die uns geholfen haben, den Wagen wieder flott zu bekommen und für die Unterstützung an der Strecke. Wir versuchen noch die Lausitz Rallye zu realisieren, denn das Geilste was ich seit langem erlebt habe. ist ein Lancer auf Schotter. Da geht noch was….“
